People keep asking me “What was your favorite part of your journey?” I can’t pinpoint a single experience as my ultimate favorite, but I can identify a few of my favorite things.
Day 88: Coming Home
When I embarked on my journey, I wondered if I’d come back to this place, but coming home to Portland feels right to me, at least for now.
Days 84-87: Forest Bathing
It’s when I’m in nature I feel closest to my own true essence. I feel alive and connected with the Universe. It’s my happy place.
Days 82 & 83: Sunshine, Poetry, & Tea
At risk of sounding like a true travel blogger, I’m going to skim through the high points of our last 27 hours in Victoria because they were nothing short of delightful.
Day 75-77: Banff, Driving, & Breathing
I was super excited to visit Banff National Park, but the time I spent there was almost all together disappointing.
Days 73 & 74: Oh…Canada!
As it turns out, Canada is a foreign country.
Days 69-72: Glaciers & Grizzlies
I knew I was coming on this journey to learn about myself, but I honestly had no idea how much other knowledge I’d gain.
Day 68: Netflix & Chill
‘Twas a blustery first couple of nights near Glacier…but I stayed in from the cold.
Days 66 & 67: Libby
Today I braved my first “solo” hike in grizzly country and visited the little town of Libby, Montana to celebrate Gma’s moon…
Days 64 & 65: Wildfires
Smokey the Bear fire prevention campaigns were lost on me as a kid. Out west, they’ve taken on new meaning.
